Monumental Effort serves as a forum where people from all walks of life can share their inspiring stories of determination and perseverance.
The tagline is borrowed from the John Rhoades poem which invites people to « Do more than exist – live ». Monumental Effort challenges you to « Do more than live ». Go above and behond. Challenge your limits. Push farther than you have ever pushed before.
As avid runners ourselves, Monumental Effort will inevitably focus somewhat on endurance events. However, we want to hear your “ME” (get it? Monumental Effort) story. Is yours a tale of overcoming an illness or tackling your deepest fears? Perhaps you can share your journey of self-discovery or an account of finally landing that dream job. Whether in the arena of athletic competition, or in everyday relationships, we are surrounded by “ME” anecdotes.
It could be something you have personally lived, or a story you’ve heard elsewhere and you feel needs to be shared with others. We are all familiar with Lance’s and Team Hoyt’s exploits.
