The third version of the Running Festival is set for Saturday morning(10am) Oct 2nd in Caledon. The event will have a fun-family 5k and 10k race as well as the day’s most important event, the Kinetico 1 Mile Fun Run. Coach Barrie and organizers are trying to hit a new record of 1100 kids in the Free 1 Mile run. Last year organizers hit 1008 kids. Kinetico will be giving every child a free-t-shirt, free poster, free finishers medal and free post-race meal. “No organization has ever given 1100 kids a free race and C3 and Kinetico want to get families started into a healthy lifestyle” said Barrie Shepley. Shepley is asking all PB families to get involved in the fun morning event by participating in the 5k or 10k, bring out kids for the fun run, or volunteering. The colour on the trees will be amazing on Oct 2nd and the new flat course we have put together for this year, will ensure that people have fast run times as well” said Shepley.
