My ME story may not work here. I once ran to the bus stop from my house but I stepped in dog pooh. I did make to the bus stop however and managed to catch the bus. But there were a lot of strunched up faces from those nearby who weren't sure what they were smelling or where the offense was coming from. Well I hope you win that lottery some day soon my friend. California had 7872 finishers of ultra events in 2009. Virginia was second with 2602. Nine of the top 25 largest ultra races were held in California including the top 2 most competitive fields for men (WS100 & North Face 50) and top 3 strongest fields for women (WS100, Way Too Cool & Miwok). I hope for your sake you don't get the rain and fog of 2009 that impeeded our views and made the course ultra slick! The course is second-to-none and the race is so well-organized...certainly one of the top races out there! San Francisco is a great city to visit to boot! PS. Do hill work!! You will love Miwok!
